A vacancy has arisen within our clients Quality Assurance Team for a QA Operator.
This is for a 1 year fixed term to cover maternity (could potentially lead to full time).
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday (6am-4pm)
Working hours will be based on a 24/7 Continental Pattern (Shift rota is 2-2, 3-2, 2-3)
Salary: of 13.84 per hour. 28,865 per year.
Job Purpose: This role is responsible for assisting in the sampling and checking of incoming goods, in-process material and finished products.
Duties will involve:
- Sampling and Testing of daily incoming goods and in-process materials to assure product quality.
- Recording and labelling of all sampled goods.
- Checking certificates of conformity from suppliers.
- Reporting non-conformances where applicable.
- Supporting the general duties of the labratory.
- Perform routing end of line quality inspections.
- Routine calibration checks.
- Supporting seal samples.
- Release of components and ingredients to Good Stock.
- Ensure all operating areas and equipment are maintained to the required levels of GMP and cleanliness.
- Ensure all health and safety and environmental standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Supporting the Quality System and the continual improvement philosophy.
- Take responsibility for personal and team safety with particular focus on PPE and safety systems.
- Contribute to all team processes and strive for continuous improvement in all areas of the operation.
- Supporting other areas of the business when required.
Key Competencies:
- Previous experience in a quality assurance role is essential.
- Good Level of written and spoken English.
- Ability to work well alone and within a team.
- Possess a strong work ethic accompanied by a flexible approach to tasks.
- Motivated and target driven individual.
