An exciting opportunity to work within the Quality Control team, as a QC Analyst for a 12 month fixed term position as arisen. The QC team ensures Nutricia Liverpool delivers products of consistent, specified quality and uncompromising safety, in line with Danone Specialised Nutrition and Analytical Governance Ambition.
Your role will be required to maintain KPI’s within the cell structure whilst completing routine Chemical analysis using established SOP’s. This role would suit someone who has a passion for problem solving and implementing corrective actions.
What will I be doing day to day?
- Perform all methods with regards to GLP observing SOP’s at all times
- Responsible for training team members to acceptable competence levels
- Assist in the introduction and validation of new methods and equipment
- Assist laboratory manager and technical managers in the capacity as a technical specialist providing advice and technical detail for routine analysis
- Assisting in relation to out of specification results
- Deputise for area cell leader upon request
- Responsibility for assigned equipment, methods and routine maintenance
- Involvement in projects including leading projects where required
- SOP and documentation updates where required
- Participate in departmental audits
- Ownership and maintenance of Laboratory chemicals and consumable stock levels
- Routine maintenance and upkeep of Laboratory Quality Standards and records
About you
- English speaking
- Relevant academic qualifications/experience within a laboratory environment
- Capable of working on multiple priorities
- Able to contribute to the benefit of the team
- Adaptable enough to work in an environment that changes / challenges daily
- Ability to work in a pressurised, heavily targeted and measured environment
- Accustomed with physical processing of food ingredients, especially dry powder and liquids
- Good analytical and technical capabilities
- Presentation skills
- Problem solving skills
