Job Title: QHSE Assistant
Location: Chancery Lane
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Hybrid: Yes - 3 days in the office

THE ROLE
As QHSE Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the QUSE team in implementing and maintaining effective quality, health, safety and environmental management systems.
Key responsibilities include
- Documentation and record keeping.
- Keeping policies, pro and records up to date
- Assisting with developing manuals, guidelines and documentation
- Supporting the other offices
- Compliance Monitoring
- Conducting site inspections
- Assisting with annual adits
- Identifying areas for improvement
- Training and Awareness
- Supporting the development of training programs
- Promote awareness of policies and procedures
- Manage the training certificates
- Communication
- Deal with H&S enquiries and manage the inbox
- Collaborate and liaise with different departments
- Be the first point of contact for first aid and fire warden volunteers
- Inductions for new starters across all UK sites.
- Participate in incident investigations to determine root causes and contribute to the development of preventive measures.
- Support the QHSE Manager in conducting risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation measures.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Previous experience in a similar role within Law or Professional Services
- Have IOSH Managing Safely Certificate or NEBOSH General Certificate or be willing to work towards this. Required to maintain your continuing professional development to keep your skills, knowledge and experience up to dates.
- Strong organisational and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish constructive relationships and communication with colleagues and other professionals/ agencies.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Proven experience of taking initiative and working under pressure and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
Optional requirement.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e., Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Quality Management).
- Knowledge of relevant QHSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
