AddressValley Equine Hospital is recruiting for a Qualified Equine Veterinary Nurse or an Equine Patient Care Assistant to join the team in the busy referral hospital.
You will be required to contribute towards excellent inPatient Care, assist in handling the patients during procedures and investigations and be involved in ensuring our high standard of infection control is maintained. You will also assist the hospital team with diagnostic imaging and surgical nursing.
Previous experience in a veterinary setting is not essential as full training will be provided in all areas. However, most importantly, you must be capable and confident in handling, trotting up and lunging a variety of horses including fit racehorses.
The role will require the successful candidate to be a positive, enthusiastic and hardworking individual who possesses excellent communication skills. The successful candidate must also work on their own initiative and within a busy team.
This role is full time at 40 hours per week and you will be required to contribute to the out of hours rota on a 1-in-4 basis during the night, weekends and bank holidays. This means you must live within 20 minutes of the hospital. The ability to travel is important so own car is essential.
