Remedy Education are seeking a highly qualified and passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our dedicated team. As a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) holder, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional education and support to students with special educational needs.
Position: QTS Qualified SEN Teacher
Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality teaching and learning experiences for students with special educational needs, ensuring lessons are differentiated to meet individual needs.
Collaborate with the SENCO, other teachers, and support staff to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each student.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic development of students with SEN.
Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and assistive technologies to engage and support students with diverse learning needs.
Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback to both students and parents/carers.
Attend and contribute to relevant meetings, including Individual Education Plan (IEP) reviews, staff meetings, and parent consultations.
Work closely with external agencies and specialists to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to meeting the needs of students with SEN.
Stay informed about the latest developments in SEN education and incorporate best practices into teaching strategies.
Requirements:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with a proven track record of successful teaching experience.
Specialized knowledge and experience in teaching students with a range of special educational needs.
Strong understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
A commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equal opportunities for all students.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to special educational needs.
