Randstad are recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker who is looking for a step up in their career or an already established Senior/Advanced Practitioner to join Tameside Council's Child Protection/CIN/Cared for Children Services as an Advanced/Senior Practitioner to support Newly Qualified Social Workers through their ASYE. This is a full time role, offering a fantastic pay rate of £37 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• You will support Newly Qualified Social Workers through their ASYE.
• You will hold a reduced caseload which will include proceedings work and more complex situations, supporting ASYE's with meetings and visits when necessary.
• You will be co-allocated to children and provide practical support and practice learning with all aspects of social work practice.
• You will support with specific pieces of work which may be more complex and model good practice to aid learning and development of Social Workers in their ASYE.
• Primarily this work will be within the Child in Need and Child Protection teams with some work in the Cared For service.

Requirements:

• Social Work Degree or equivalent
• Current registration with Social Work England
• Enhanced DBS

Experience:

• Children
• CP/CIN/Cared for Children
