So, what’s the story? You will be joining and leading a team who deliver a Refugee support programme in Leicester and the East Mids. The team is 10 strong, made up of tutors, training, and outreach staff. The most important function of this role is managing the compliance and finance of the programme, and this takes up most of the time. There are about 700 learners on the programme, and lots of data crunching to go with it. Anything from learner stats, people joining the programme, outcome result, job starts, learner feedback.
The catch is there is only 12 months left to run on the programme. There is a strong chance you will get another role (people don’t tend to leave as they are always winning contracts). So they are happy to consider someone with a strong finance / compliance background, as this is the priority. With the team being in a good place, this in theory is the easy part which is why they are happy for someone to step into the role. Keys tasks include:
- Compliance Advocate: Guarantee adherence to delivery standards across both internal operations and subcontractor services.
- Data-Driven Performance Management: Utilize data insights to monitor and manage performance in line with delivery plans.
- Financial Expertise: Proficient in interpreting financial documents, developing budgets, and analysing data.
- Analytical Proficiency: Detect trends and weaknesses to formulate improvement strategies.
