Job Purpose:
As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, this role is pivotal in upholding high standards of quality and compliance across multiple contracts, in line with the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework. You will demonstrate professional integrity while working closely with the Quality Assurance Manager and various operational teams, the coordinator will play a key role in maintaining and elevating our educational service standards.
Key Responsibilities as a Quality Assurance Coordinator:
- Undertake coordination and management of quality and compliance activities in line with our vision and strategy, ensuring adherence to the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF).
- Demonstrate expertise in conducting evaluations of educational quality through class observations, learner feedback processes, and more.
- Facilitate and promote standardisation and moderation practices across delivery teams to contribute to commercial growth.
- Take initiative in coordinating with awarding bodies and facilitating their visits and requirements.
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Assist in curriculum development to ensure quality-managed, reviewed, and consistently improved contracts.
- Coordinate quality improvement initiatives and assist in implementing the company’s quality improvement plan.
- Conduct regular quality performance reviews, providing structured feedback to delivery teams and management.
- Contribute to people development by guiding and supporting staff with ongoing training and mentoring in line with organisational values.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Work alongside contract managers to support delivery teams in improving contract performance.
- Drive continuous improvement through creative and flexible recommendations.
- Proactively engage and communicate with stakeholders to tailor services to learner needs and support operational teams.
- Assist senior managers in addressing management challenges related to delivery.
Compliance Responsibilities:
- Embed principles of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework to ensure delivery excellence.
- Coordinate and assist in the creation of programs to enhance delivery quality.
- Conduct thorough investigations to identify and address quality issues.
- Educate staff and partners on quality improvement practices.
- Implement and report on success and quality measures, aligning with benchmarks like Matrix and Ofsted.
Ideal Candidate Profile – Quality Assurance Coordinator
- Qualifications: Assessing, IQA, and Teaching Qualifications with experience in Ofsted and general audit inspections.
- Desirable: Experience in managing government-funded training programs like Apprenticeships, Bootcamps, AEB.
Key Skills required – Quality Assurance Coordinator
- Experience: 3-5 years in the skills and education sector with a minimum of 3 years in quality methodologies. Experience in managing quality in educational settings.
- Skills: Exceptional communication, leadership, strategic planning, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Knowledge: Up-to-date industry knowledge, including legislation, awarding organisation, and sector skills council information.
- Characteristics: Innovative, strategic, enthusiastic, driven, strongly committed to continuous improvement.
