We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Quality Control Operative within our growing QA Team.

In a nutshell, you will be responsible for:

Supporting Quality Control inspection of sinks, manufacture of slip and preparation of engobe and glaze as required. You'll be responsible for meticulously inspecting all finished products at various stages of production, identifying and documenting any flaws or deviations from our rigorous quality specifications. Your keen eye, unwavering attention to detail, and proactive approach will play a vital role in upholding Shaws of Darwen's reputation for unparalleled quality.

What you are already great at:

  • Monitor fired sink quality at final inspection, prior to packing
  • Conduct thorough visual inspections of finished products at designated checkpoints throughout the production line.
  • Utilize specialized tools and gauges to measure dimensions, assess surface finishes, and verify functionality.
  • Identify and document any defects, non-conformances, or deviations from established quality standards.
  • Classify defects based on severity and potential impact, prioritizing critical issues for immediate attention.
  • Accurately log all identified defects and non-conformances in a designated Quality Control system.

For this role we would need you to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a similar role and in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent at multi-tasking and working with competing priorities
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional and collaborative team environment
  • Demonstrated project management skills, adherence to timelines, stakeholder communication
  • Be a confident and credible operator
