Quality Controller Role
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our laboratory team to perform quality control product testing and document checks. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of our chemical products through rigorous QC analysis and adherence to established procedures and work instructions.
Quality Controller Responsibilities
- Conduct general QC analysis of chemicals, including medical devices, laboratory standards, and chemical mixtures
- Release raw materials and finished products based on QC assessments
- Perform First Piece Inspections to ensure product conformity
- Review completed batch documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Sample and test water samples as required
- Complete QC records on the company database accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure all products produced meet the highest quality standards
- Provide advice and support across departments to maintain quality standards
- Contribute to the generation and review of SOPs and work instructions
- Maintain high housekeeping standards within the laboratory
- Manage and control laboratory stock levels to ensure availability
- Engage with the wider company on continuous improvement projects
Quality Controller Qualifications
- Minimum A level in chemistry or related science (or equivalent)
- A degree in a related area would be advantageous but not required
Quality Controller Skills and Competencies
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working within a QC or analytical laboratory
- Experience in carrying out titrations is required
- Understanding of FTIR and XRF techniques would be advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills for collaboration across departments
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and database systems
