Our client, a family-run horticultural business with exciting growth plans, is currently looking to recruit a Quality Controller to join their expanding team. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about the Top Fruit and wider horticultural sector.
Hours -
Monday to Friday, 7am 5:30pm
Every other Saturday. Finish time may change depending on the workload
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections for quality control to verify adherence to both company standards and customer specifications in terms of the quality of products.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to create and execute quality control standards and drive quality levels throughout the business.
- Explore instances of product quality issues and apply suitable corrective measures where applicable.
- Maintain records of any issues raised to overcome them going forward.
- Communicate with the management team where improvements can be made to increase standards
- Work to the company's health & safety standards
Skills and Experience
- Previous Quality Control experience in FMCG and or the Fresh produce industry is essential to the role
- Must have Knowledge of quality assurance principles, techniques, and tools
- Good knowledge of using MS Office and Excel for reporting
- Practical knowledge and experience of continuous improvement using Lean techniques would be useful
- Understanding of stock management systems
- Must have excellent communication skills
- The ability to communicate improvements and areas of opportunity would be highly desirable
