About the Quality Controller job
The purpose of your role will be to take responsibility for ensuring the high quality of goods enters the packhouse and that the finished product is meeting safety, legality and quality requirements of the business customers.
Key tasks
- Ensure that all work carried out is completed with health & safety always in mind and that all duties are carried out in accordance with regulations per outlined risk assessments.
- Closely communicate with key managers and line staff ensuring that you’re aware of all quality issues.
- Take a proactive approach to oversee the right quality of goods arrive in the packhouse from suppliers and make accurate and up to date records and establish a positive release that all orders are checked in accordance with the customer specifications and ready for release.
- Ensure all the products are labelled correctly to allow accurate traceability and ensure that correct version of specifications and documents is used.
- Maintain a clear picture of the quality products in stock and take progressive action to prevent future complaints as well as correct stock control to be maintained to ensure that product meets customer specifications and waste is minimised including shelf lives.
- Oversee that all equipment used is maintained in good state and calibrated in correct intervals.
About You
The successful candidate should have experience within an agriculture and be able to provide flexibility to work some weekends and night shifts where required. This role is a 5 month fixed term contract.

The Quality Controller job is based in Home Counties and is paying £28,500 - £29,500 pro rata according to your experience.
The package includes the offer of shared on-site accommodation inclusive of all bills.
The working hours are on average 48 hours per week and includes some weekends and night shifts where required.
