A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join Aviva at an exciting and business critical time. You will b e at the forefront of Aviva's AI development as the QE GenAI Engineer within a persistent GenAI team embedding QE principles including testing methodology & Quality Engineering. Challenging & setting standards, always advocating for the customer. You will have ideally w orked in a variety of organisations and companies using a variety of development and engineering processes (including BDD).
A bit about the job:
You will be an active member of a QE team delivering a workable framework for a complex solution with numerous stakeholders across a varied landscape, being able to communicate & present complex ideas and MI to a mixed audience.
Collaboration with other teams whilst remaining focused on Quality Engineering, bringing your point of difference into a persistent team and solving complex problems and perceived failures through root cause analysis.
You will have core engineering knowledge (DevSecOps, distributed system principles for large scale workloads, auto scaling/load balancing), GenAI engineering knowledge (LLM's and associated capabilities,) as well as automation frameworks & testing tools with knowledge of languages for test automation (Python, Java).
Skills and experience we're looking for:
- Demonstrable experience in GenAI Tools
- Experience with some or all Chatbots, API, Assistants
- Being an advocate for Quality Engineering within the project team and the wider organisation.
- Being at the forefront of QE expertise in the organisation and the wider testing community.
- Evangelise QE and how to use AI to accelerate activity and improve quality.

- Starting salary between £50,000 - £60,000 (depending on skills, experience, and qualifications)
