We are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector for a Precision Engineering business supplying into the Aerospace & Defence industries, based in the Hayes area. With the workload throughout the shopfloor being extremely busy, investment within inspection, and overall growth of the business, it’s a business-critical requirement for an addition Quality Inspector.
What does it involve?
The company is looking for an experienced Quality Inspector who will be working within a fast-paced Sub-Contract Machine Shop to inspect CNC Machined parts coming straight from their shopfloor. Dimensional measurements with various handheld tools and CMM Inspection to technical engineering drawings is essential.
What’s needed for me to be considered?
- Dimensional inspection for First off, Patrol and Final inspection
- First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRS - AS9102)
- CMM Inspection (not essential)
- Programming with PC-Dmis, will consider other program types.
- Use of handheld tools - Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Various Gauges etc...
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Reading of technical drawings.
- Previous experience in a machine shop environment.
The Details:
- 3 or 4 nights per week between Monday to Thursday(your preference)
- Start time between 5pm - 9pm (your preference)
- 36 hours, 40 hours or 48 hours (your preference)
