Quality Inspector - Nights

Job Role: Inspector
Location: Bury
Shift: Nights Only
Salary: £33,000 - £34,000 Per Annum + SA

Metalis is working in partnership with a prestigious steel supplier in Bredbury who are looking to hire a skilled Inspector on a permanent contract.

Job Duties:

• Manual inspection of machined components to ensure that all customer dimensional requirements are adhered to. Ensuring that a high standard of product quality is maintained
• Ensure standards of quality and workmanship to BS EN ISO 9001 are always met
• To ensure all health and safety regulations are observed and maintained
• Use manual inspection equipment to verify dimensions on machined components against customer and internal requirements
• Produce inspection reports during and after final machining
• Hardness testing of components as per customer requirements
• Understand and implement customer procedures / specifications
• Produce non-conformance reports as required
• First off inspections for in-process components
• Producing error reports and putting actions in place to correct the errors
• Reporting to the Technical Manager you will be accountable for inspecting machined components and producing reports in a timely manner
• Your performance will be measured on current key performance indicators and annual performance reviews

Job Requirements:

• Competent in the use of typical software packages such as Word and Excel
• Previous history of manual inspection
• CMM experience preferable
• CSWIP Visual inspection preferable
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Methodical working
• Work on own initiative
• Good communication skills
• Problem solving
• Experience with the use of manual inspection equipment

Salary & Shift:

• 40 hour working week
• Nights only
• Monday to Thursday 9pm to 7am
• £33,000 to £34,000 + (Shift Allowance) - this does not include if they were off sick or on holidays
