About the Quality Manager job
The purpose of your role will be to contribute to the profitability of the company by ensuring that all technical systems and processes and products consistently conform with all relevant legislation, is authentic and meets customer specifications.
Key tasks
- Ensure that all factory staff have received adequate training and efficiently manage staff KPI’s whilst promoting and encouraging a strong safety culture within the site ensuring all health and safety requirements are met.
- Manage the application of the QMS by factory staff is fully monitored throughout all production processes, directly or through members of the QA team which report to the QA Manager.
- Report any non-conformances within a timely manner and fully investigate, report on, and initiate corrective action for customer complaints.
- Play an active part in the maintenance of the existing HACCP system and QMS, as well as customer and 3rd party BRC auditing, and ensure corrective actions are effective in preventing repetition through effective preventative measures and report any equipment and building fabric issues to the Engineering department for repair and to monitor status thereafter.
- To ensure that the microbiological standards are maintained to satisfy customer and regulatory standards, as well as all equipment is regularly calibrated, check refrigeration temperatures etc.
- Validate cooked products regularly completed for all products to maintain a level of ‘Due Diligence’ to satisfy customer and legal requirements.
- Carry out ad hoc duties as directed by the Technical Manager.
About You
The successful candidate should possess a Level 3 Food Hygiene and Level 3 HACCP certifications as well as a good understanding of cookery theory and processes. You shall have the determination to apply Quality Standards regarding food safety, legality, authenticity and quality.

- A keen eye for detail and the ability to perform under pressure and towards set deadlines.
- Be flexible regarding working hours where required.
- Provide effective contributions to an overall team goal.

The Quality Manager job is based in London and is paying £35,000 - £45,000 according to your experience.
The package includes 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays per year -four of which are required to be saved for during the Christmas and New Year close.
The working hours are 08:00am - 17:00pm Monday to Friday. Flexibility may be required.
