SalaryOur client is a Food Manufacturer who supply a wide range of retailers across the UK. They are currently looking to recruit a Quality Manager for their manufacturing operation in Northampton.
On a day to day basis your primary objective is to ensure that all products manufactured at the site are safe, legal, authentic and fulfil quality expectations of customers and consumers.
This position has a factory-based focus and sits within a small technical team with varying backgrounds and experiences.
On a day to day basis as a Quality Manager you will be responsible for:
- Assisting the factory in delivery of successful Third-party audits (BRCGS, RT, Organic, BMPA).
- Ensuring the Quality Management System is fully implemented within the factory.
- Continuously improving factory standards and finished product quality.
- Investigating and managing the root causes of complaints to reduce them in line with KPIs.
Successful applicants will have experience of working in a similar role within a fresh chilled food manufacturing operation, having worked as a Quality Manager, Quality Shift Manager or a Quality Supervisor. You will have successful managed teams within high care environments and be full conversant with BRC, HACCP & Food Safe requirements. You should be naturally very organised and someone who builds close working relationships with teams across Production, and Engineering.
