We are looking for a Quality Manager to work on a permanent basis for a well-established forging Company based in Dudley

The Package:

You will receive the following benefits:

The standard hours for this role are Monday to Thursday: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and Friday: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

The Role:

In the Quality Manager role, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of the quality system, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards and contributing to the production of high-quality materials for the Oil and Gas, Automotive, and other industries.

You will be responsible for:

Material Certification:

• Generate certification documents based on test results from external Test Houses and Heat Treatment Companies.


• Ensure compliance with in-house specifications and ASTM standards.

Testing Process Coordination:

• Prepare documentation for items undergoing Mechanical, Chemical testing, Heat Treatment, and other relevant processes.


• Facilitate seamless communication with external testing facilities to guarantee accurate and timely results ensuring that manufacturing meets the correct specifications.


• Implement rigorous inspection processes to uphold quality standards.

Quality System Maintenance:

• Maintain and update the Quality Management System to align with the latest ISO 9001 requirements.


• Prepare for and successfully pass annual ISO Approval audits.

Specialized Knowledge:

Possess a working knowledge of Norsok M630/650 specifications, providing an advantageous edge in managing specialized requirements.

The Candidate:

To be the right person for the Quality Manager role you will require proven experience as a Quality Manager in a manufacturing setting, preferably in forging and forged steel.

You will also need:

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and certification processes.


• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.


• Ability to work hands-on and collaboratively with production and testing teams.


• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with external test houses and regulatory bodies.
