The Role

We’re on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Quality Team Leader who’s passionate about ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for implementing & maintaining quality procedures, conducting quality checks of products & packaging, completing QC reports & audits and leading the QC team and managing their workload, whilst consistently upholding our commitment to delivering high-quality products.

You will play a pivotal role in supporting our Quality Manager with quality assurance activities such as product testing and international compliance and standards.

Initially, this role will be based in Scunthorpe, transitioning over time to our Brigg site. Travel between these sites will be necessary, and own transport is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the QC team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Report any identified quality or compliance issues to the Quality Manager.
  • Manage resources effectively to ensure stock availability and the smooth running of the QC team.
  • Organise and implement any necessary re-work activities.
  • Complete QC reports and update relevant data bases and ERP systems.
  • Investigate customer complaints and conduct non-conformance investigations in a timely manner and provide feedback to the relevant department.
  • Support the Quality Manager with various duties, including arranging third party inspections at supplier sites; review and file test report and QC reports; and answer product-related queries.
  • Assist the Quality Manager with international product compliance and product testing.

Skills and Experience

  • Team leading experience
  • Positive attitude and ability to motivate a team
  • Prior experience within a similar quality role is essential
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Degree or equivalent level of education preferred
  • IT proficiency, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solving
  • Own transport is essential for this role
