£24,500 – £27,500 DOE + Company Benefits Towcester
Hours (35 Hour Week):
Monday- Thursday: 8am-4pm
Friday: 8am-1pm
Our client is seeking a Trainee Quality Technician to be full-time, based onsite, supporting the engineering department with quality return issues from customers and dealing with quality compliance. The desired candidate will preferably have previous experience working in a fast-paced support role to an Engineer / Quality Team, with a basic mechanical/ electronic understanding of parts and quarantine processes.
The support will include:
Receiving parts into quarantine
Scheduling Jobs on received parts for investigation into fault
Undertaking the scheduled jobs to:
Fault find
Root Cause Analysis
Propose resolution measures on the returned parts
Calibrate and / or service parts
Quoting Customers based on investigation findings
Converting Quotes to Sales Orders and driving job creation based off customer requirements.
Liaising with the Returns Administrator on status of returns
Produce documentation/ reports as requested (8D / 5WHY)
Additional Responsibilities may include:
Being utilised as a production resource to manufacture sensor assemblies.
Quality control via stage inspections for the Production Dept.
Completing customer quality compliance forms.
Experience Requirements:
A candidate who has previous practical experience within a manufacturing environment (Automotive/Industrial or Sensor bias preferred).
Working knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action analysis tools such as 5 Whys, 8D and FMEA
Conversant with the use of IT skills (Microsoft Office/ 365/ Teams/ ERP Systems)
Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal
