The role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will look to enhance project performance and stability through the collection, analysis, investigation and reporting of meaningful project information to allow informed decision-making at a program, project and zonal level.
Day to day, you'll be responsible for all aspects of change management within one of the five principal zones on a Submarine Deep Maintenance Project. This will include advice on change initiation, analysis and impact assessments, estimating, processing and approvals:
- Conducting data analysis, impact assessments and providing recommendations.
- Coordinating forecasts from supporting functions
- Providing pre-tender estimates
- Supporting the commercial function with tender compilations, negotiations, and reviews
- Producing internal and external monthly reporting
- Carrying out in-depth investigations
This role is full time, 36 hours and will be based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard with hybrid working from home arrangements.
Essential experience of the Quantity Surveyor:
- Sufficient experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Experience in a change control environment
- An understanding of project controls; specifically cost control, earned value, scheduling, and estimating
Qualifications for the Quantity Surveyor:
• Educated to degree / HNC / HND level
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
