SalaryA Civil engineering & Maintenance company has a new opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join the NI Division.
Providing commercial links between Site Agents, Project Managers, Commercial Managers and the Commercial Director you will carry out the following duties:
- To ensure commercial security and control of contracts under tender and throughout the project including execution and delivery
- External liaison with suppliers and customers regarding project progress and contractual issues
- Ensure prompt and regular submission of main contract payment applications and ensure that subcontractor payments are dealt with fairly and in accordance with subcontract terms and applicable legislation
- Preparation of the forecasting and reporting of costs against value to ensure that it is in line with the contract profitability forecast
- Manage subcontract accounts including enquiries, comparisons, payments, variations, disputesand final accounts
- Risk analysis and control
- Awareness of the estimating process and budget control
The successful QS will possess the following:
- Third level qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role preferably within a Maintenance or Civil Engineering Company
- Commercially aware of economies and efficiencies
- Experience in cost reporting and procurement
- Understanding of Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR), preparation, forecasting principles and monthly reporting.
- Ability to work independently or effectively within a team contributing across a business unit or area
- Management of various contracts and subcontractors, ensuring company compliance with all necessary contractual and statutory obligations
- Preparation of cashflows
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full Valid driving license
