Quantity Surveyor (Fit Out)

Our client is a specialist within the fire wall FIT OUT sector and is looking to take on a Quantity Surveyor who can hit the ground running.

They work on a national scale and have won various awards for the projects they have been involved with.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive surveys and inspections of buildings to identify and assess the condition of fire wall & cladding systems.
• Evaluate the quantity and quality of passive fire protection measures, including fire-resistant materials, fire doors, fire dampers, fireproof coatings, and firestopping.
• Verify compliance with local, national, and international fire safety codes and standards.
• Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers to provide guidance on passive fire protection system design and installation.
• Advise clients on the selection of appropriate passive fire protection systems and products.
• Conduct periodic inspections and re-evaluations of passive fire protection systems to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in passive fire protection technologies.
• Provide training and educational sessions to clients and colleagues on passive fire protection best practices.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities and participate in fire safety audits, as required.

Requirements:

• HND or Equivalent
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex systems and identify deficiencies.
• Detail-oriented and thorough in conducting surveys and preparing reports.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using surveying tools, equipment, and software.
