CRG are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist building company operating in Oxfordshire and the Southeast areas. Our client is a multi-disciplinary main contractor with extensive experience across various sectors of the construction industry. They are renowned for their commitment to excellence, managing projects of varying scales and complexities, including those with logistical and architecturally sensitive challenges such as listed buildings and inner-city locations. Role Description:
As a Quantity Surveyor with our client, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of projects, ranging from 500,000 up to 5 million in value. You will be based in their office located in Oxfordshire, with occasional site visits as required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects within the commercial, education, or residential fit-out and new build sectors. Additionally, candidates should possess either a Commercial Surveying Degree or HNC qualification.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all financial aspects of assigned projects, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
• Conduct procurement activities, including subcontractor selection and negotiation.
• Prepare and administer contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
• Monitor project progress and variations, providing accurate and timely financial forecasts.
• Collaborate with project teams to optimize cost-efficiency and ensure quality standards are met.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve commercial issues and disputes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing projects ranging from 500,000 up to 5 million in value.
• Sector experience in commercial, education, or residential fit-out and new build projects.
• Degree or HNC qualification in Commercial Surveying or related field.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for site visits.
