Job Description
A well known housing developer based in the North East are looking to add an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor to their team in order to help push their region forward. They are looking for someone who is able to come into the business and hit the ground running so a background in new build housing is highly desirable for this role, however if you have a groundworks background working on residential projects this could be of advantage.
Client Details
This client are a well known housing developer who work across the North East on a range of different developments and across a variety of house types/sizes. This region is part of a national business and this role is due to expansion in the team and business as well as future planning for the office/commercial team.
Description
Your role will involve:
- Assist in the commercial function and reporting for projects within the region including site budgets, payments, bench marking, WIP, cash flows and valuations.
- Monitor and report build costs periodically reporting any savings and excesses.
- Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of contractor performance.
- Management of external consultants involved in the commercial function.
- Collaboratively work with other internal departments.
Profile
To be successful in this role you must come from a housing background with experience working as part of a busy commercial team. You will already have experience working on a number of developments self sufficiently and be able to hit the ground running. Experience working for a volume housing developer in a similar role would be a distinct advantage. If you already have experience using the COINS system this would be a huge advantage.
