We have an exciting new job opportunity at our Bristol site! We are looking for a skilled Quantum Market Specialist to join our successful and rapidly expanding global organization. In this role, you will be responsible for the Quantum Market segment, including contributing to the market roadmap, gathering customer intelligence, monitoring the competitive markets, identifying new markets, key customers and contacts, and managing and expanding our quantum collaboration portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Market and Strategy Contribute to the market roadmap and understanding of devices and process in the following markets: Quantum applications including quantum computing, quantum information processing and transfer, and quantum sensing. Quantum platforms and processes mostly for superconducting circuits, diamond-based qubits, PICs and hybrid systems. Identify key players in these markets and keep up to date with technological and market developments and requirements. Identify and develop new market opportunities in quantum and related sectors.
Develop process know-how for quantum related processes including ALD, PECVD, ICPCVD, ALE physical and chemical etch processes.
Business, Planning and Programs
Share gathered information in terms of Jobs to be Done and Voice of the Customer back into the Product Management and Applications team. Own and add to the OIPT market intelligence resource of Quantum ecosystem.
Global Partnerships and Marketing Build collaborative relationships with customers and key market contacts. Be the market and technology expert to support Sales teams. Support Marketing in developing marketing campaigns for Quantum Markets
Other Accountabilities Take personal responsibility for your health and safety and for that of others who may be affected by your actions and behaviour. Comply with the Company’s arrangements for health, safety and environmental protection. Share your specific knowledge of the technology and associated hazards and apply this knowledge and skills to support the implementation of appropriate safe work systems.
Education / Qualifications: A degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or Electronics from a University recognised for the high quality of its technical degrees. A post graduate qualification is a preferred. In depth experience of relevant technologies and processes.
Professional Skills/ Abilities:
Experience in quantum device fabrication, characterization.
Experience in standard semiconductor and thin film processing.
Customer focus – takes into account customers needs.
Track record of conference presentations and collaborative project work
Experience in market analysis and/or strategy development would be an advantage.
Personal Qualities: Self-starting, diligent and enthusiastic with a professional approach to working independently and managing your own time without compromising your ability to work as part of a team. Team player who makes the best use of the contributions that can be made by others, and has the ability to work constructively with others . Focused on understanding customer's challenges and translating this within OIPT . Ability to adapt quickly to market and customer requirement changes . Highly innovative and good lateral thinking skills for identifying opportunities for technology development applications . Good diagnostic skills and problem solving abilities with a positive and enthusiastic attitude to technical challenges, and the flexibility to cope effectively with changes to specifications or priorities . Excellent written and oral communication, with the ability to articulate, present and report on technical or complex issues clearly and succinctly . A passion for our industry and the positive impact we can have on our customers’ research and/or products.
