Quotation Controller

Linde Material Handling are looking for a Quotation Controller to join their West Bromwich depot, on an initial 6 month contract, to help control and manage all aspects of aftersales quotations.

Main Duties

• To present a professional company customer facing image and increase service revenues and margins through building effective customer and colleague relationships

• To provide a single point of contact for internal and external customer quotation administration and communication
• To maximize aftersales ad-hoc revenues and margin through the production of professionally presented and targeted quotations covering (but not limited to) ad-hoc repairs, wheel & Tyre replacement, accident damage & misuse, PPM contracts, chargeable work arising (from service / from Thorough Examination), chargeable modifications, chargeable retrofits
• To liaise with service engineers, controllers, supervisors and Regional Service Managers to maximize the effectiveness of service quotations to ensure that revenue and margin opportunities are optimized
• Continuously monitor outstanding quotations with customers and where necessary liaise with appropriate personnel to obtain a customer order number.
• Negotiate a commercially viable price which is acceptable to customers and in line with margin guidelines for Linde MH UK
• To utilize effective negotiation closing strategies with each customer with a view to obtaining customer order and maximizing quotation conversion
• Develop on going customer relationships with a view to easing the negotiation of quotation closure
• Conduct each transaction with external and internal customers in a professional and competent manner consistent with maximizing customer satisfaction, and encouraging repeat business, revenue and profit growth for the business

Essential Criteria

• Strong admin skills

• Strong customer service skills
• IT literacy is amust, and any SAP knowledge would be beneficial, but not essential
• Background is not important, however any quotation experience would be a bonus
• Must be able to work under pressure in a busy environment, being proactive and working as part of a team
