We are seeking an R+D Engineer to join our client team permanently. The R+D Engineer will be working for a fantastic organization and looking for someone who can endorse the company's core values and strive towards achieving the mission statement. The R+D Engineer will be reporting to the Technical Director and designing and developing using CAM software.
Key Responsibilities for the R+D Engineer:
- To keep abreast of current trends, practices, market developments and regulatory changes that impact on the company's products.
- Prototype testing and documenting reports and incorporating of tests/certificates/reports into certification/literature/labelling/liaising with QA.
- Scheduling internal and external resources to achieve agreed milestones and deadlines
- Designing and developing using Autocad Inventor CAD Software
- Drawing/specification/report approval and systemized control of all R+D-related documentation within the QA system.
- Information gathering at the initial stages of projects will form a major part of the job role, maintaining accurate project information throughout.
- Developing and administering of roadmap project planning process so projects are introduced on time and within budget
- Involvement/maintenance of any area within the ERP system, but primarily BOMs, components, routings, configurations, and cutting sheets will be necessary for existing and new products.
Skills Required for the R+D Engineer:
- Minimum 3 years' drawing office experience. Competence in the use of 3D CAD/CAM software drawing methods and drawing control
- Experience in metal fabrication
- Team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong documentation, organization and time management skills
- High degree of creativity in product design and manufacturing techniques
