Senior Race Design Engineer
The Senior Race Design Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Design or modify various metallic components for motorsport applications. This will also include designing production assembly fixtures and tooling when required.
- Completing calculations as required for stress levels including material stress, dimensional requirements.
- Raising bill of materials as necessary. Using Microsoft Dynamics AX
- Working closely with suppliers to ensure the most efficient production methods are used. Liaise with customers to ensure correct test requirements are completed
- Using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to analyse components through high performance scenarios. This will include topology optimization.
The Senior Race Design Engineer will require the following experience:
- Degree qualified in Automotive or Motorsport Engineering (Relevant subjects also considered)
- Must have FEA experience (SW Simulation or Altair is preferred)
- Minimum 3 years in relevant industry sector (Motorsport, Automotive, Motorcycle)
