The Role:
Rail Systems Engineering Safety Management professionals to join our established
Infrastructure Engineering team supporting product introductions, major infrastructure
projects and developments.
Essential Skills/ knowledge:
- Substantial technical experience of one or more rail infrastructure engineering
specialisms, such as ETCS, CBTC, TMS, GSM-R, Railway Signalling &
Telecommunications, Operational Control Systems and SCADA.
- Experience of rail infrastructure safety engineering throughout the various stages of
the project lifecycle, including design, construction, testing, commissioning, systems
integration, trial running and handover.
- Experience of safety engineering methodologies, including Common Safety Method
for Risk Evaluation and Assessment.
- Knowledge and experience of the development and review of system-wide Safety
Cases (civil infrastructure, tunnelling, stations, signalling, track, traction power, data
transmission systems, communications etc).
- Demonstrable knowledge and application of rail industry standards and international
best practice. Examples include NTSNs, NNTRs and CENELEC standards
- Engineering Degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) or equivalent
- Ability to speak English at business level
