Role Responsibility
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Kent Country Parks as the Ranger Services Manager, leading the North and West Kent ranger teams. You will be based at Shorne Woods Country Park and be responsible for 5 of the 9 Country Parks as well as some smaller countryside sites. You will join the team leaders group and work closely with the Head Ranger for the East Kent sites to foster collaborative working across the whole ranger service. The role requires a good level of experience and skill in practically managing public country parks including designated landscapes and habitats, leading and motivating teams, managing budgets, Health & Safety knowledge, external fund raising and project management. All 5 parks you will look after have Green Flag Awards demonstrating the quality of the sites and customer service. The role will also support other areas of the business including visitor services, education, events and marketing.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position.
