Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers Microsoft's cloud services. As Microsoft’s Cloud business continues to mature, the acquisition and development of our owned, designed and constructed Data Center facilities will scale to meet the demands of our customers.


Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) will be developing and executing strategies to deliver owned and developed land sites, to scale our business into the future. Our focus is on smart growth, directing strategic scaling through high quality, cost effective and innovative solutions to meet demand and to reduce cost and impact of our overall delivery.


Sitting within Infrastructure Planning & Acquisitions (IPA), The Land Acquisition team is responsible for the delivery and pre-positioning of Real Estate to enable the development Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure.


Responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate, detail orientated and high-energy individual to support the development of the infrastructure that powers Microsoft’s online services. We work hard, play hard and make history. We also care about people, growth, excellence and results.


The Land Acquisition Project Manager will be based in the UK or Ireland and report to the EMEA Regional Director. They will be a member of the team responsible for maintaining consistency for acquisition processes and coordination of life cycle and closing processes for the EMEA region.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support Land Acquisition team in managing transaction deal flow, including ensuring that all relevant data and associated documents are tracked and kept updated.
  • Support Real Estate transaction processing and administration for fast growing and evolving business needs.
  • Defines and tracks the success criteria and performance metrics (e.g., Objectives and Key Results [OKRs] and Key Performance Indicators [KPIs]), such as quality, adoption, usage, impact, effectiveness) for the program.
  • Assist in implementation of a relevant system of metrics to plan, manage, measure and evaluate performance pertaining to the transaction process.
  • Effectively communicate expectations, requirements and status of deals to key stakeholders and business partners – both internally and externally
  • Help coordinate variety of internal initiatives and projects.
  • Continue to build and maintain a culture of speed, flexibility and trust with all business partners.
  • Closely collaborate with other internal teams such as operations, legal, finance, treasury, tax and risk assessment to help deliver highly successful projects

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate or Business or Finance or equivalent alternative education
  • Demonstrated experience in business operations and or project management and or Real Estate


Preferred Qualifications


  • Prince2 Project Management Certificate
  • Strong proficiency to work with Microsoft applications including, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Dynamics and PowerBI
