Reception and Year 1 Teacher - Independent International School - ASAP start - Maternity Cover

A small International School in Hammersmith and Fulham are looking for a Reception and Year 1 teacher to cover a 12 month maternity for an ASAP start. Like all maternity covers there is the possibility of it continuing for longer than the initial 12 months.

The role

You will teach Reception for half the day and Year 1 for the other half of the day. The classes are very small with only 6 to 10 children in them. As they are a private school, they do not follow the National Curriculum but have their own very creative, playful and exploratory curriculum that allows scope for individual children's interests and passions.

QTS is desired but not essential. They will consider non-QTS overseas trained teachers and also Level 6 qualified candidates.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A passion for Early Years teaching

• QTS, overseas teacher training or a Level 6 qualification

• Ideally be an English native speaker

• Previous International School is desirable but not essential. The school highly prizes teachers who can speak foreign languages or have experience with different cultures

This teaching role will perfectly suit a teacher who is looking to teach much smaller classes who would like to use the time saved on paperwork to focus on artistic and cultural development of their pupils.
