We are seeking to recruit a Reception Office Administrator to act as a welcoming and efficient point of contact in the Department of Plant Sciences for staff, students and visitors. This a varied and interesting role in a friendly Department. Plant Sciences is part of the School of Biological Sciences. The Department has an international reputation and welcomes staff, students and visitors from across the world. The role holder will provide reception and administrative support for the Department. Tasks will include producing Departmental Induction and Safety Handbooks, supporting the HR Co-ordinator with induction processes, updating the Department website and social media accounts, and compiling newsletter content. They will provide undergraduate course administration support such as responding to course enquiries and uploading teaching materials, working with the Undergraduate Teaching Administrator and the Teaching Co-ordinator. In addition, they will receive deliveries, oversee room bookings, and issue parking permits. For further details please read the further information document. The successful candidate will have reception and/or administrative experience, with excellent customer service and communication skills. They will have knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with Adobe Photoshop and SharePoint would be an advantage.
