Role Overview:
As a Reception Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the class teacher in the delivery of high-quality education to our youngest learners. You will work closely with the reception class, providing essential assistance in creating a positive and stimulating learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in the planning and implementation of engaging and age-appropriate activities
- Support individual and small group learning, ensuring that each child's unique needs are met
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom, promoting a love for learning
- Provide pastoral care and emotional support to children as required
- Contribute to the assessment and tracking of pupil progress
- Collaborate with parents and colleagues to ensure effective communication and involvement in the child's learning journey
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant qualification in Early Years Education or a related field
- Previous experience working in a similar role within a primary school setting
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
