A fantastic opportunity to join a high performing GP surgery, looking to welcome a new medical receptionist to the team, for 20.5 hours per week.
As the first point of contact for patients, you will handle enquiries with professionalism and empathy. You will also be responsible for administrative duties such as appointment scheduling and maintaining patient records.

Shift Pattern
- Mondays; 2pm – 6:30pm
- Tuesdays; 8am – 4pm
- Wednesdays; 8am – 12pm
- Thursdays; Day Off
- Fridays; 2pm – 6:30pm
Job Summary
As a receptionist, you will be part of a busy team, and the face of the practice; together with your colleagues you will be supporting the clinical team in caring for our patients.
The role is varied, as no two calls are the same, and you will be responsible for making sure patients are dealt with in an efficient and friendly manner.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
- Booking appointments for patients with the appropriate medical professional
- Dealing with general enquiries from patients and visitors
- Assisting patients to complete new registration forms
- Supporting colleagues to maintain an efficient and friendly atmosphere
- Assisting with any other administration required
