About the Trust
Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) provides high quality, safe and innovative care to our patients in the community, in their homes or in hospital.
We provide services for adults of working age, adults with learning difficulties, and older people in the London area. We currently deliver most of our care to residents in the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington. However, we also provide substance misuse services in Westminster, and a substance misuse and psychological therapies service to people living in Kingston.
What you'll be responsible for:
- General admin and reception tasks such as:
- Assist with reception duties, welcoming patients, sending emails to staff members when patient has arrived.
- Data entry, inputting referral on EPR system, ensuring that data is entered correctly and accurately.
- Answering phone call, dealing with queries, and taking message when needed.
- Opening referrals and managing team inbox when necessary
You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You'll have the following skills/experience:
- NHS experience as a Band 3 (mental health a bonus but not a must have) (HM advised this is desirable)
- Ability to use Microsoft office, including Excel and outlook
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Excellent customer service skills and confident telephone skills
- Must be able to use Rio/ electronic patient record systems
- Use initiative appropriately to deal with and prioritise post, emails and telephone calls
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years administration experience.
