Our client, a prominent Accountancy Practice in the South West region, is currently seeking a proactive Receptionist to become a valued member of their Barnstaple office on a full-time, permanent basis.
This role suits those excelling in administration and people engagement. The successful candidate will embody a blend of outgoing social finesse with a positive and approachable demeanour, showcasing resilience in multitasking, adaptability, initiative, professionalism, and a conscientious team-oriented approach.
The responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and order in reception and meeting areas.
- Professionally manage calls, messages, visitor interactions, typing, document handling, scanning, and correspondence.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Provide cashier and administrative services following procedures.
- Handle financial transactions, deposits, and withdrawals.
- Input, retrieve, and present data using computer systems.
- Update and manage client data while complying with Data Protection Act guidelines.
- Promote products, matching them to customer needs.
- Ensure fire safety compliance for visitors and contractors.
- Assist Partners and Managers with admin tasks.
- Schedule meetings and manage client hospitality.
- May undertake additional duties directed by the local Partnership team.
The candidate:
- Sound knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Prior experience in a similar administrative or customer-facing role.
- Experience within a cashier banking or building society environment would be desirable.
- Initiative-driven, with prioritisation and deadline management skills.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional service.
- Proficient typing skills with accuracy.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
