What you will be responsible for:
- Registering new and existing patient's appointments
- Making appointments over the telephone and face to face
- Reception duties including attending patients and out-coming clinics
- Inputting relevant diagnostic and procedure codes from patient record
- Process test results and action as per agreed protocols, e.g. send negative result message via text or send to Health Advising team for review
- Update and maintain test result recording systems in patient record and related databases for performance monitoring and quality purposes
- Typing and general administration duties
You will learn the following whilst working at the trust:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You will have the following skills/experience:
- Excellent organisational skills and communication skills
- Excellent customer service & telephone manner
- Strong receptionist background
- Microsoft Office package knowledge e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel
- Use of NHS EPR systems desirable.
