A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RECEPTIONIST AT THE PRINCIPAL YORK.

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following:

• Welcoming guests and acting as their first point of contact
• Logging issues or requests
• Answering the phones to prospective customers and guests.
• Completing administration tasks
• Completeing concierge services
• Preparing room bills and taking payment
• Answering guest queries and taking payment
• Signposting guests to our Restaurant and Bar
• Upselling room upgrades to guests who are checking in, and asking if they would like to stay with us for dinner.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

We hire mostly on personality potential but here are a few of our requirements...

To succeed in the role of Receptionist, you will need the following qualities and skills.

• Enthusiatic
• Driven
• Strong Communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility
• Experience of Hotel Reception or working with the General Public
• Experience of working with Opera would be an advantage.
