Overview
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Recovery Support Worker to join our recently opened  Lancashire Supported Living Rehabilitation Service Inspiring Minds, based in Preston PR1 7QE.
 
Salary:£21,840 per annum
 
Hours: 35 per week working shifts 8am- 3pm and 3pm – 10pm. 
The service contains 5 beds and will provide intermediate short term rehabilitation support to adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities and individuals on the autistic spectrum and is designed to be a personalised, interactive and collaborative process, reflecting the whole person. It will enable individuals to maximise their potential to live a full and active life within their family, social networks, education/training and the workplace where appropriate, in the context of their mental health and promote recovery.

Responsibilities
As a Recovery Support  Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives.
 
You'll provide compassionate, person-centred, and recovery-focused care and support, helping individuals build resilience, coping strategies, and self-management skills.
It's not just about addressing immediate needs; it's about empowering individuals to take control of their mental health and well-being in the long term. By fostering partnerships, signposting, and making referrals, you'll ensure that those attending our service have access to all the specialist, universal, and targeted support that they need.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards this.
 
Previous experience of working within a mental health setting and having the knowledge of understanding and working with people with a variety of complex needs is essential for this role.
 
On joining Making Space you will be supported step by step with on-the-job training as well as the opportunity to undertake professional qualifications if desired and required for your role. We are seeking individuals who can showcase that their personal values align ours here at Making Space.
