My exclusive client is a successful manufacturing company in Portsmouth which has exciting growth plans over the next few years. They design and manufacture products that are distributed to their loyal customers across many different markets worldwide.
Your new role

This is a new role due to company growth for a Recruitment Coordinator to join a highly professional HR team of 4. This integral role will take on responsibility for the recruitment function across the business. You will be required to provide professional administration support to managers and employees on recruitment and HR queries, working closely with 2 x HR colleagues in the team to ensure that HR policies and processes are followed correctly during day-to-day activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating and updating job descriptions
• Tracking all recruitment including number of vacancies, number of applicants per vacancy, time to fill etc.
• Identify appropriate methods of sourcing candidates and working with the marketing team to advertise vacancies using the appropriate platforms
• Continuous improvement of HR recruitment processes
• Upholding the principles of a fair and unbiased recruitment process
• Actively work to eliminate biases, ensuring a level playing field for all candidates and fostering a diverse and inclusive hiring environment
• Keeping up to date with the latest regulatory changes, ensuring the recruitment process is compliant.
• Take part in interviews, supporting managers and candidates with any compliance / contractual queries.

This role is office-based in Portsmouth until you pass probation (within 3 months) when you can then work from home 1-2 days per week (depending on the requirements of the role). Working hours: 39 per week, Monday-Thursday 8am-4.30pm and Friday 8am-3.30pm.
What you'll need to succeed

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to become the recruitment lead for an ambitious business with the added variety of some generalist HR responsibility too. You must have worked in a similar internal recruitment role within a business (18 months+) and a REC / CIPD qualification will be an advantage, but is not an essential requirement. A background in manufacturing, engineering or FMCG is preferred, but other industries will be considered.

This role will suit a customer-centric person with excellent attention to detail and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. You also need to have good interpersonal skills and the ability to establish strong working relationships.

You will receive a market-led salary between £28,000-£30,000 (DOE), 25 days holiday+BH\'s, an additional 3 days holiday between Christmas and New Year (company shutdown), EAP, company pension scheme (4% / 4%), life cover (3x salary), discretionary bonus divided equally between all employees and free parking (first-come, first-served on-site or free street parking available).
