To support the development and expansion of the Unitemps recruitment service within the University of Northampton and with businesses in Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes postcode areas, achieving targets and contributing to growing the external business to an annual turnover in line with the 5 years business plan.
You will work as part of the Student Futures to improve levels of graduate employability through the provision of high-quality temp, temp-perm, and permanent roles to students and graduates. This post manages all aspects of the recruitment process, including attending client meetings, winning new business, advertising, search and selection activities, right to work checks, interviewing candidates and offer management.
Carrying out new business development activities including direct telesales, client meetings, mailshots, e-marketing and exhibiting at conferences to generate business and to manage a portfolio of clients and candidates to ensure high quality of service, income generation, and improved student entry into graduate roles.
New business development is an important element of this post. The Recruitment Executive will undertake and provide research on the local employment market and sectors to be used in targeting new business.
For internal vacancies, you will work with University hiring managers to identify and meet their requirements with high quality candidates. Student engagement is also vital – by understanding our students’ needs and future aspirations, we will be more effective in finding them the temporary role which is right for them.

About you
This is a diverse and busy post, giving the opportunity to provide a high quality recruitment offer to external and internal clients, whilst benefiting students by understanding and meeting their temporary and/or permanent employment needs.
You will have recent experience in recruitment or a customer sales/service environment with a business development aspect. Alongside this you will have experience of managing successful client/candidate relationships.
You will have up to date knowledge of the local labour market and its implications for recruitment.
You will have excellent communication, relationship building and presentation skills.
