The role
This is an exciting role to transform a large former Debenham’s building now called ‘Folca’ within Folkestone Town Centre into a vibrant successful entity. The role will require the development of a strong business case, and the management of key consultants from Architects through to Economic Specialists to ensure a well thought through viable scheme.
The primary focus of the role is to lead on the Folca project which requires an experienced person who has led projects from the inception feasibility stage, through to construction delivery phase. They will be adept at dealing with stakeholders at a high level and confident at negotiation ensuring the best outcome for the district. The role also involves overseeing other projects such as UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the Rural England Prosperity Fund both of which are in the final year of their delivery.
We are looking for a person who has also managed similar large-scale projects and has a strategic mind to navigate the complexities of the project to deliver a sustainable viable outcome which may have both Public and Private sector occupants.
About You
The key qualifications, skills and experience required for this role:
- Relevant qualification and experience in Project/Programme Management or Change Management (e.g. Prince 2, APM or other equivalent qualification or experience).
- Experience of managing, implementing, facilitating and monitoring the delivery of construction, transformational and cultural change projects.
- Demonstrable experience of establishing programme and project documentation and processes to support the delivery of complex and large-scale projects with appropriate and relevant project management methodology.
- Experience of successfully overseeing projects with particular experience within the public sector, especially within Local Authorities.
- Demonstratable strong negotiation skills and experience in relationship building with key stakeholders at a high level.
