About The Role
Closing date: 14th January
Location: Homebased but occasional travel to/within South-East & Greater London.
Contract: This is a fixed term contract for 12 Months, covering maternity leave.

We have fantastic new opportunity available for a Community Fundraiser to join our rewarding and growing team! This role would be ideal for someone looking to build and develop their fundraising experience or broaden their sector experience in a major national charity. 
 
This role will have a strong focus on working with our corporate partnerships in London. The successful candidate will be able to deliver first class account management, as well as driving new business income (from prospecting through to pitch development and delivery).   
 
This is an exciting home-based role, based in South East London. This is not a requirement but occasional travel to/within the patch will be expected. This role would suit someone based in Greater London. We can offer flexibility on working pattern/days worked. 
 
You will join our Regional Engagement team to help deliver the regional budget. Success in your role will enable our colleagues to campaign for change, fund research to find a cure and support people living with dementia today.
Our team have a wealth of experience and skills to support you. Previous experience as a fundraiser is not essential, although an attitude to being a team-player is. In our team, help will always be there!  You need to inspire and motivate them to develop lifelong support.

About you
- Experience in working within a Fundraising sector or community fundraising would be advantageous.
- Ability to Recruit, manage and appreciating the value of our supporters and volunteers is essential.
- Be a self-starter and can work within a fast-paced, creative, and diverse environment.
- Demonstrate your resourceful and inspirational nature, giving our supporters the best possible experience when raising incredible sums. 
- Experience in conducting presentations to businesses and various groups (desirable)
Person specification
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Work collaboratively and be able to prioritise your workload effectively and remain solution focussed throughout your areas of work.
- Strong interpersonal and interpretation skills will allow you to have open jargon-free conversations with the business.
- Excellent organisational and timekeeping skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Be a team player, supporting colleagues when there are deadlines, and who knows when to ask for help themselves.
- Be a self-starter and incredibly motivated.
