We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional EHS Manager to join Suir Engineering. This position is to cover all of our project across Germany (Frankfurt & Berlin)
The Regional EHS Manager (Germany) is responsible for the management of all Environmental, Health & Safety requirements on all Suir Engineering projects in Germany from local legislation compliance, tendering through to resourcing, mobilisation, construction, commissioning, and delivery.
What you will be doing
* Assist the Group EHS Manager in achieving Suir Engineering Critical Success Factor 1. 'To ensure we are fully compliant in all Health, Safety & Workplace Legislation' across your portfolio of projects.
* Become familiar with local legislation in Germany and ensure we are compliant.
* Resource, onboard and manage your team of EHS Advisors ensuring they are effectively managing EHS in line with the Suir Way and Client/Main contractor expectations.
* Build relationships and networks with local recruitment agencies and suppliers.
* Organise and plan a schedule of site visits across your portfolio of projects.
* Ensure EHS input into tenders for projects abroad is consistent with the Suir Way
* Meet and deliver all KPI's and objectives set and agreed in your PDR.
* Engage with each of your team members in the PDR process ensuring effective management of the 3-part process. Any development training is approved, tracked and communicated. Any performance management will be conducted by you with assistance from HR and the Group EHS Manager.
* Ensure your team take their allocation of annual leave each year with only 5 days maximum carried over each year. All leave must be uploaded by you on the tracker.
* Ensure team members are logging their allocation of hours in GaneTime each week and submit your team's timesheet on time.
* Establish lines of communication with main contractors and client EHS Lead and develop a positive relationship with same.
* Develop a positive relationship with Suir Project Directors, Project Managers and Construction Managers on your projects with regular communication and site visits.
* Attend the weekly T2 & T3 meeting and ensure you are prepared prior to the meeting.
* Action any items allocated to you in the EHS T3 meeting through the change management process until finalised and approved. Once approved ensure the change is implemented effectively across your project portfolio.
* Ensure each of your projects are appropriately planned from the start with particular emphasis on a comprehensive EHS Kick Off Meeting and Project Risk Register and all actions are allocated and tracked until implemented.
* Ensure your projects are adequately resourced in agreement with the Project Director / Project Manager and Group EHS Manager.
* Ensure your projects are set up correctly in accordance with the IMS and is consistent with Suir Engineering standard set up on SharePoint and Flex.
* Subcontractors management including prequalification, tracking of sub hours and communication.
* Assist the EHS Leads with the development and approval of the site-specific plans i.e., CSSHP, SSEHSP, CEMP etc.
* Assist the EHS Lead with the development of a site specific Suir online induction which is in line with the Suir Engineering standard template and approve same.
* Assist the EHS Lead with the first requisition of PPE, signage, printing etc. from the EHS Catalogue IMSL-EHS-01
* Ensure all incident and reported and investigated in line with Suir Engineering's notification protocols. For MTI's, LTI's and HiPo's you are required to attend site and manage the investigation.
* Develop a TBT following incidents to be rolled out to the wider company
* Ensure adequate formal and informal monitoring of your projects with auditing and site visits.
* Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all of Suir Engineering High Risk Activities (HRA's) and ensure that they are identified and effectively controlled on your sites.
* Become familiar with and promote the 'Suir Way' and its interfaces with EHS.
* Report to Group EHS Manager on the performance of the projects at the weekly EHS T3.
* Any other reasonable and relevant duties as requested by the EHS Manager, necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the company.
Is this job for me?
* Minimum Level 8 Degree in EHS.
* Strong organisational, planning and interpersonal skills with an ability to plan and deliver works independently
* Willing to frequently travel
* Team player with proven leadership and people management experience.

* Minimum of 7 years' experience in EHS Management / Lead role.
