Regional Sales Manager (Home based)
We’re looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager within the technology solutions sector, ideally with a background in Transport Management or Logistics to join our New Business team at Microlise!
As our Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for sales to new name customers primarily within Northern Ireland, and Scotland, whilst developing and maintaining an opportunity pipeline approximately four times the annual sales target and to meet or ideally exceed sales targets.
Sales skills and acumen are key to this role; we are looking for someone with a proven record in hitting or exceeding targets, who acts quickly to seize opportunities, spots and capitalises trends and is keen to grow a long-standing and successful career with Microlise!
What you will be doing:
- Achievement of individual based target in terms of profitability on a quarter-by-quarter basis
- Responsible for the generation and conversion of sales leads into profitable business, ensuring both revenue and profit margin is maximised. This will be achieved through an appropriate level of pursuit of new accounts and qualified leads
- Identify and target specific new name accounts who are candidates to become customers
- To undertake prospecting activities to achieve as described above
- To undertake an average of six face to face meetings with prospects per week
- Define sales campaigns to ensure a successful “win strategy” is in place for every opportunity
- Responsibility for ensuring that Microlise is invited to bid for all work opportunities in areas where Microlise has competency
- To undertake sales briefings, seminars, and other events to assist with pipeline development
- Hold regular reviews with senior managers within Microlise and partner companies
- Liaise with suppliers and partners to develop sales directly or in-directly of the portfolio
- Responsibility for conveying expert advice to business prospects, in all areas of Product Portfolio
- Responsibility for upkeep of personal professional development ensuring knowledge of key business areas and technical developments. This will include knowledge and evaluation of sales techniques used in the transport, supply chain and mobile solutions arenas
- Provision of timely and clear quotations and proposals to customers
- To use company price book and sales collateral effectively and accurately
- Ensure any discounts are signed off in writing by the Director of Sales or Managing Director
What we’re looking for:
- Proven track record in either; transport management, logisitics or technology sales
- Demonstrable experience of developing effective client relationships and supporting the drive of new initiatives
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills and the ability to articulate technical solutions in a concise manner
- Excellent team player and leader with a competitive and winning attitude
- Strong commercial knowledge of a variety of sectors including transport, logistics, retail, automotive and distribution market place
