As General Manager you will be responsible for the operation of Cale View, a brand new 74 bedded service in Wincanton, taking full ownership and accountability for all aspects of this specialist neuro-degenerative nursing care provision.
In doing this you will ensure the care of all residents in the service meets the standards and requirements of Cornerstone Healthcare and provide leadership in all aspects of service delivery according to the many regulations, legislation and codes that govern our service.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working closely with the Commissioning Home Director, the General Manager’s role is to deliver excellence in the day-to-day operational management of the service whilst working with the Senior Management Team to contribute to the delivery of our wider strategic agenda. We are looking for the ideal candidate to join around November and to spend some time in our existing services to learn the Cornerstone Model.

Essential experience
- We are looking for someone who has experience of working in a similar environment and experience with a similar resident group
- Nurse qualified with an active pin (desirable)
- At least 5 years operational and leadership experience
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health & Social Care or equivalent
- A knowledge and understanding of the current legal responsibilities and standards of the service, including the need for the management and delivery of person-centred services
- We still apply COVID-19 protections for our residents and employees must have a minimum of two vaccinations unless medically exempt
Hours of work
Monday to Friday between 09.00 and 17.00 (40 hours per week)
On-call will be required on a rolling rota so flexibility outside of these times will be required as well as occasional weekends to meet the needs of the business.
About Us
Cornerstone Healthcare Group provide specialist care for vulnerable people who present with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurodegenerative and mental health needs.
Residents who live in our homes primarily have a neurological degenerative condition such as Dementia with an underlying mental health condition which makes them unsuitable to live in dementia Care Homes or residential Care Homes for the elderly.
We currently have 3 homes based in Waterlooville, Curdridge and Mytchett and are in the process of building 2 new homes in Bristol and Wincanton which are due to open in 2024.
