Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 23-bedded elderly care home. The Registered Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements, while fostering a supportive and enriching environment for residents and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Provide strong leadership and direction to the care home team, fostering a culture of excellence, compassion, and teamwork.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels and adherence to relevant policies and procedures.
Resident Care and Well-being:
- Ensure the delivery of person-centered care tailored to the individual needs and preferences of residents, promoting their dignity, independence, and quality of life.
- Conduct regular assessments of residents' care needs and develop care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards, including CQC (Care Quality Commission) regulations, and take responsibility for the overall quality and safety of care provided.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care practices and identify areas for improvement.
Financial Management:
- Manage the care home budget effectively, monitoring expenditure, and implementing cost-saving measures where appropriate.
- Ensure efficient utilization of resources while maintaining high standards of care and service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a managerial role within the healthcare or elderly care sector.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices governing care homes.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and decision-making abilities, with a commitment to promoting resident-centered care.
- Proficiency in IT systems and record-keeping software.
