Medsolve are proud to be working with a client who are looking for an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to join their new 5 bed home based in Swadlincote.
This is a full-time, permanent role. Please note we do NOT offer sponsorship.
My client offers a salary of up to £50,000 plus a performance related bonus of up to £4,800 paid annually.

Overall, the Registered Manager will be aspirational, go above and beyond in the care provided to children and ensure that all practice promotes a sense of belonging for the children. The manager will be registered with Ofsted and required to meet the level of competence set out in the regulations and standards for a residential children’s Home Manager. The manager will drive forward the Quality Standards and aspire for outstanding service at all times.
Responsibilities of the Registered Manager:·
- To be registered with Ofsted as a suitable manager for the home and to fully comply with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and deliver the Quality Standards for Children’s Homes.
- To deliver high standards, aim for ‘outstanding’ provision at all times.
- Be an advocate for the young people and ensure they receive services they require.
- To be responsible for the management, co-ordination and development of a range of quality services for young people referred and/or accommodated within the home.
- To promote the practice of working in partnership with young people, their families and other agencies, in order to meet the needs of young people.
Requirements of the Registered Manager:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a role supervising and managing staff.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children
- Hold a GOOD or OUTSTANDING grade within your recent Ofsted Inspections.
- NVQ Level 3 Residential Childcare
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England).
